Children
The Alexander Technique is primarily a preventative technique, so, logically, we should be teaching our children. But adults have to learn first, before children can be taught, and they usually only come for lessons when something has already gone wrong, by which time they experience some sort of pain or other dysfunction.
The Technique is a practical one - it can be tried and tested and understood in practice. This sort of practical learning helps adults to understand themselves better and thereby become more expert in their children’s needs and growing process.
